Hudsonville Emergency Management Department

You may have seen us directing traffic around a downed power line or guarding intersections at the annual holiday parade, just two of the services the Hudsonville Emergency Management Department provides to our community. We exist to aid city and county officials in keeping our citizens safe during local events, emergencies, and potentially hazardous conditions.

HEMD serves the community through:
  • Severe weather monitoring and storm spotting
  • Emergency communications and resource coordination
  • Community warning and hazard mitigation
  • Traffic control at emergencies and community events
  • Local search-and-rescue coordination
