Veterans Park
Veterans Park is located on the corner of 32nd Avenue and Central Boulevard and is adjacent to the City Hall property. It is a one-acre park, which was completed in 2004 with the assistance of donations and in-kind service from various sources. The park features statues representing the various branches of the Armed Services as well as a memorial wall and a stone that has plaques honoring local military personnel. The center of the park is a memorial rock. This rock displays names of the fallen soldiers of Hudsonville.
The memorial wall is designed to honor veterans of the Hudsonville area and serves as a natural amphitheater. Plaques for the memorial wall are strictly to honor veterans. Each plaque has the veteran's name and their branch of service.
The memorial wall amphitheater has been host to several events throughout the year. Each Memorial Day the City of Hudsonville has a service to honor our veterans. There is also a Summer Concert Series held there. The amphitheater and park are available for rental.
There are six statues throughout the park that represent different branches of the Armed Services. The statues are Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marines, Navy, and Women in Service. In front of the memorial wall, each statue and the memorial rock is a brick area. The engraved bricks can be purchased by and for anyone and are not reserved for veterans.
Plaques and bricks can be purchased at the Hudsonville City Hall. Click here to download the Veterans Memorial Park Form and bring or mail it in.
The facilities may be rented from May 1 to October 15, except for holidays. No activities after sunset are allowed. No application will be accepted prior to January 1 for the year of reservation.
