Knitting Workshop: Clapotis

What is a clapotis (pronounced clap-o’-tee)?  From the French word for lapping water, it is a beautiful and versatile accessory for any woman – both a scarf and a stole.  Knit diagonally from a soft or silky yarn, it drapes beautifully into soft folds and makes you feel so artlessly elegant and luxurious.  For confident knitters only.

FREE. Registration is required.  Limit 10.

Participants will be provided with the pattern and knit a small sample clapotis that will teach them all the skills necessary for them to knit their own clapotis.  The class will be on Thursday, February 27 from 1-4 pm.   Additional Clapotis sessions will be available every Thursday in March from 2-4 pm for participants to get together and work on their clapotis or ask for help.  (March 6, 13, 20, 27)

Please bring to class with you:

  •          Pair of size 8 knitting needles – straight or circular, whichever you prefer.
  •           6 oz. light colored worsted weight yarn
  •          18 stitch markers
  •          A row counter
