The City of Hudsonville’s Fire Department and the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department will be hosting a free hot dog cookout complete with ice cream at their Public Safety Open House on September 1 from 4-7pm

The goal of the event is to bring the residents of the community out to see the emergency services that are available in the county, and to make sure that they have the most up to date safety information.

In addition, there will be demonstrations of Jaws of Life and K-9 Dogs. You will also have the chance to spray the fire hose, ride a sheriff’s horse, try the driving simulator and seat belt sled, meet Vince & Larry the crash test dummies, learn how to use a fire extinguisher, and fill out a fingerprint card.
