Community Survey

The City of Hudsonville recently conducted a community-wide survey of all city residents. The purpose of the survey was to determine residents’ attitudes and behaviors related to the City of Hudsonville including resources and services, priorities, living experience, community engagement and information gathering/distribution. The survey also assessed resident’s attitudes about the idea of constructing a new community center/library in downtown Hudsonville. The City Commission will take the valuable feedback received from the survey into consideration when making decisions in the coming years.  


Every household in the city (2,244) received a postcard in the mail with a QR code to access the surveyOverall, 316 surveys were completed, yielding a response rate of 14.1%. Given the sample size, the results can be interpreted using a +/-5% margin of error and a 95% confidence level. In simpler terms, the survey accurately reflects the views and opinions of the majority of Hudsonville’s population.
